The Vertical Control Network consists of 56 surveyed benchmark monuments located throughout the city. These points provide precise elevation references used for engineering design, construction, and infrastructure management. Elevations are referenced to either NAVD 88 or NGVD29 — click any marker for the specific datum and details.
Benchmark elevations are referenced to either the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88) or the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29).
